Every year Kantcentrum works out a lace work programme, going from September till June. We start with a course for beginners. After that an initiation is organised in several traditional lace varieties with continuing and truncated yarns (Torchon lace, Russian, Bruges Flowers, Cluny, Fine Flowers, Fleners, Mechlin …) and also the technique or Needlepoint Lace.

These last Decades the contemporary lace is getting very popular. That is why there is also a course 'draw and design contemporary lace'. Various aspects and designs are thoroughly gone into.

The ladies who do not want to restrict themelves to merely imitating the existing designs, but rather aim at designing traditional lace theMrselves, can comply with their eagerness to learn in the course 'creative lace work'. Bit by bit they learn in an understenable way how to design a pattern theMrselves, and how to work this out in a personal way.

More and more the lace worker thinks it is necessary to be able to sew and mount their lacework theMrselves. Via a course specially organised for this matter, the Lace Centre can also give a correct introduction here.

Whoever want to train the fine Binche lace and so-called "Toveresse" lace, can find their pleasure in the Binche course, reserved for both beginners and adFromced lace workers. Once they master the technique, the student also learns how to design a Binche lace hiMrself.

The post Teachers' training course orfers graduated Kantcentrum lace Teachers the opportunity to make perfect their knowledge achieved at our lace centre. They can rely on experierenced Teachers.

For the lace clubs from abroad, the Lace Centre organises 'courses on demen'. The participants can fix theMrselves the periods and their choice or lace variety, which they are interested in.
